Need a home paternity test? With our range of online DNA relationship tests, it’s never been easier!

Our home paternity test can be ordered from our website and posted direct to any convenient address. The testing kit includes full instructions on how to collect your own DNA sample. No blood is required. All you need to do is rub the mouth swabs provided on the inside of your cheek to collect some cells. Samples will be needed from the alleged father and the child (and the mother if available). These collected buccal cells are then returned to our lab using the self-addressed envelope contained in the kit.

The home paternity test is priced at just €149 for next day results, or €199 for same day results.

We also offer a prenatal paternity test, which can be used to non-invasively determine paternity of a baby before birth. This innovative test can be performed as early as 6 weeks after conception. The test is completely safe to the mother and unborn child. The mother needs to supply a blood sample and the alleged father uses a mouth swab to collect his DNA. At a price of just €1095 for confidential results in 8–10 working days, or upgrade to results in 5 working days for only an extra €200.

Confidentiality is maintained

We understand that this can be an emotional time. Not everyone wants their close family to know that they are undertaking a paternity test. For this reason, we go to great lengths to minimise any chance of the company name being recognised in any correspondence. All of our testing kits are sent out in discreet plain packaging with no company logos or branding. In addition, online payment transactions do not name AlphaBiolabs as the recipient on bank statements.

How does the home paternity test work?

When we receive your samples back at our laboratory, DNA profiles are produced. AlphaBiolabs examines specific DNA markers present in repeat sections of DNA from each sample. The child’s DNA is analysed to identify which half is inherited from the father and which half is from the mother. If the man undergoing DNA testing is indeed the biological father, both father and child will share identical sections of DNA at each marker. If the tested man is not the biological father there will be differences in the DNA.

AlphaBiolabs is one of just a few laboratories accredited to test up to 35 DNA markers in standard tests (most relationship tests examine only 16). We also test all our exclusion results twice so you can be confident of getting accurate results.

As well as home paternity testing kits, AlphaBiolabs offers a range of DNA relationship testing kits that can all be ordered direct from our website. These include Maternity, Sibling, Twin (zygosity), Grandparent, Aunt and Uncle, Single Genetic Profile and Y Chromosome tests. We also offer an innovative toothbrush DNA test.
