Legal DNA Testing Ireland

If you require a paternity test for legal proceedings (such as to change a birth certificate, in connection with child support, immigration purposes or probate) you will require a Legal DNA test.

AlphaBiolabs is proud to confirm that we hold the international ISO 17025 accreditation. This means that you can have complete confidence in our results as our own laboratory has been independently assessed and passed by industry experts from the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS).

  • Direct to laboratory
  • 100% accuracy with 24 loci
  • Quick results
  • 100% confidentiality
  • UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation
  • Next day results as standard
  • Now from €395.00

At AlphaBiolabs we ensure that our Legal tests maintain a strict chain of custody, allowing the results to be admissible in a Court of Law.

The results are 100% accurate and provide a probability of paternity figure up to 99.99999% or an exclusion of paternity.

  • AlphaBiolabs will send a DNA sample collection kit to a medically trained, neutral third party, usually a GP, nominated by yourself
  • You make an appointment with your nominated party to provide your samples. (Please note that your GP may charge for this service)
  • Samples are sealed with tamper-proof tape and sent directly by courier to our laboratory
  • Once in the laboratory all samples and paperwork are thoroughly checked following a strict chain of custody
  • The samples are then analysed in our state-of-the-art laboratory
  • The password-protected report is then emailed to the agreed recipients

If you require a DNA test for peace of mind purposes only, then you will require a Public DNA test.
